Chris Gonzales has a fairly comprehensive post on what’s wrong with Squarespace 6 over on his site UNRETROFIED.
Now, I should note that I have absolutely zero information about what the developers are working on behind the scenes. For all I know, they could already be ironing out at least some of the issues I’m about to list. This is just my list of complaints as it stands right now.
I feel like his frustrations with Squarespace come from the same place mine do. Squarespace is truly a great service, and I don’t hesitate to recommend it. One of the things that makes it stand out is its stellar customer-service: really some of the best in the business.
So it’s always been a little bizarre to me that things like Chris lists hang around for ages. It feels like there’s a wall of silence between the customers and the guys who could actually fix these little complaints and make Squarespace really awesome. It feels like a lot of these things could be fixed pretty quickly. Maybe that’s not true — if so then at least it would be nice to know that.
